Access Health CT (AHCT) will take part in Pride in the Park at Mathews Park in Norwalk, CT. Pride in the Park is Fairfield County’s LGBTQ festival, which is a free, open to all event that brings together internationally-known entertainers and local performers. AHCT is proud to participate in this family-friendly event.
“The LGBTQ community is and continues to be an important audience, as we know the health barriers some face when it comes to finding the care that is right for them,” said AHCT Director of Marketing Andrea Ravitz. Over the summer months, AHCT will be participating in Pride festivals all around the state, and we’re thrilled to kick off with Fairfield County’s event this Saturday,” said Ravitz. “We are committed to raising awareness about the benefits of healthcare coverage, which is why events like these are so important – we are able to have one-on-one conversations and educate residents on how to stay healthy and make the most of their coverage.”
“We’re really excited to have our partners Access Health CT here again with us this year providing affordable insurance options to help you get the healthcare you need,” said Anthony Crisci, Executive Director of Triangle Community Center. “Pride in the Park is actually our biggest outreach event of the year to help people like you get connected to the resources that you need to live a better life in Connecticut.”
AHCT is one of many Connecticut-based organizations supporting Pride in the Park. AHCT representatives will be present to speak with the public and answer questions. In addition to educating customers on preventive health and the benefits of healthcare coverage, AHCT will be collecting information so residents can get updates to help them lead healthy lifestyles.
Since Triangle Community Center (TCC) first organized this event in 2014, Pride in the Park has welcomed over 3,000 guests to enjoy all that this celebration has to offer, including crafts and food from local vendors, entertainment and family activities. This event offers something for everyone – kids can enjoy activities including face painting and hula hooping, and there is a 21+ VIP area. Pride in the Park will be held rain or shine. More information can be found on Pride in the Park’s website.
“We are pleased to partner with TCC, whose mission is to provide programming and resources to build connections within Fairfield County’s LGBTQ community,” Ravitz continued. “Like TCC, we believe that providing education and access is the key to keeping our state healthy. We are here to help and want to make sure every resident has access to quality healthcare coverage to meet their needs.”
