HARTFORD, Conn. (April 12, 2018) – Today, Access Health CT’s (AHCT) Chief Operating Officer, Shan Jeffreys, encouraged customers who may not have received their Form 1095-A from AHCT to request a tax filing extension from the Internal Revenue Service before the April 17 deadline. Customers need Form 1095-A to complete and file IRS Form 8962/Premium Tax Credit with their federal tax returns, which allows them to either claim the premium tax credit or reconcile the credit on their returns with advance payments of the premium tax credit.

“The annual deadline for federal tax filing is right around the corner, and some customers may still be working with Access Health CT to make changes or resolve errors on their Form 1095-A,” said AHCT COO Shan Jeffreys. “If you are still waiting for your final Form 1095-A to complete your return, you should consider filing for an extension with the IRS.”

Customers with specific questions about their Form 1095-A can contact Access Health CT directly at 1-855-372-2428. For general information about Form 1095-A, and related tax matters, please visit To file for an extension with the IRS, customers can visit
