Access Health CT Named Among “Best Places to Work in Connecticut” by the Hartford Business Journal for Fourth Year in a Row

Annual awards program honors Connecticut companies who rank highest in employee satisfaction

HARTFORD, Conn. (Jan. 26, 2023) — Access Health CT (AHCT) today announced that it was honored by the Hartford Business Journal and Workforce Research Group as one of the “Best Places to Work in Connecticut” for the fourth consecutive year. The honorees will be recognized at a ceremony at the Aqua Turf in Southington March 2. The annual program is presented by the Hartford Business Journal and the third-party firm, Workforce Research Group.

“The entire Access Health CT team is fully committed to our mission of increasing the number of insured residents and eliminating health disparities in Connecticut,” said Access Health CT Chief Executive Officer, James Michel. “Their dedication and collaborative spirit are the driving force behind the positive company culture that makes it a pleasure to come to work every day.”

The “Best Places to Work in Connecticut” is a survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognizing the area’s best employers. It is managed by the independent research firm, Workforce Research Group, and winners are honored by the Hartford Business Journal.

To be considered, a company must be publicly or privately held, be a for-profit, nonprofit or a government organization, have a physical operation in Connecticut, have a minimum of 15 full- or part-time employees working in Connecticut and must be in business a minimum of one year.

The Hartford Business Journal and Workforce Research Group establish the “Best Places to Work in Connecticut” list by using a two-part survey process. The first part consists of an employer assessment, including details on policies and practices. The second part is an employee feedback survey, which captures employees’ opinions about their workplace experience.

The rankings will be published in an upcoming issue of the Hartford Business Journal.
