Access Health CT Named As A Finalist For Hartford Business Journal ‘Best Places To Work’ Award Program

HARTFORD, Conn. (March 2 , 2020)— Access Health CT (AHCT) today announced the organization was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in Connecticut. This annual program was created by the Hartford Business Journal and Best Companies Group.

“At Access Health CT, we take great pride in creating a company culture that provides our employees an environment where they can grow and learn, while contributing to our overall mission in a meaningful way,” said Chief Executive Officer of Access Health CT, James Michel. “This award is recognition for all the hard work of each and every member of our team.”

The Best Places to Work survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in Connecticut, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. The list is comprised of 41 companies split into two categories: small- to medium-sized companies (15-199 employees) and large-sized companies (200 or more employees). Access Health CT pleased to share that the organization ranked 26 in the top companies to work for on the list of small- to medium-sized companies in Connecticut.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill various requirements, such as: being a for-profit or non-profit business or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have at least 15 employees in Connecticut; and be in business for a minimum of one year.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Connecticut. The first part consisted of evaluating each company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Connecticut, analyzed the data and determined the final rankings.

The ranked companies were recognized at a special awards ceremony on February 27 and the actual rankings will be published on March 9 in the Hartford Business Journal.
