Access Health CT To Host Educational Sessions Known As “Healthy Chats” In All CT Counties In October

Open Enrollment begins November 1, 2019

 HARTFORD, Conn. (September 25, 2019)—Access Health CT (AHCT) today announced a series of upcoming community-based educational sessions, known as “Healthy Chats.” The purpose of these events is to help Connecticut residents become familiar with the Open Enrollment Period that starts on Nov. 1, 2019: and understanding costs and the financial help that is available, choosing an insurance plan, and how and where to enroll.

“At Access Health CT our main goal is to reduce the uninsured rate in Connecticut,” said Chief Executive Officer, James Michel. “Our ‘Healthy Chat’ events give Connecticut residents the opportunity to learn more about what to expect during the Open Enrollment process. Health insurance can be hard to understand, which is why we know it’s important to offer free, in-person help. Please join us at a Healthy Chat event near you.”

Last October, the Access Health CT team welcomed close to 400 people at their Healthy Chats, and over 50 are already registered for the first one in Waterbury.

The multi-lingual staff will be ready to answer questions, making sure attendees had a better understanding of how to shop, compare and enroll in the health insurance plan that best meets their needs.
